Review Process

The International Journal of Social Science and Education Research Studies (IJSSERS) follows a rigorous and transparent peer review process designed to uphold academic quality, originality, and ethical publishing practices.

  1. Manuscript Submission and Acknowledgment
Upon submission of a manuscript through the official IJSSERS submission system or by email, an acknowledgment of receipt is sent to the corresponding author. This confirmation ensures that the manuscript has been successfully received and entered into the editorial workflow.
  2. Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial plagiarism and similarity check using advanced plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts exceeding the journal’s acceptable similarity threshold are returned to the author for revision or may be rejected on ethical grounds.
  3. Preliminary Editorial Assessment
Following plagiarism screening, the Editorial Board conducts a primary evaluation of the manuscript. This includes assessing the paper’s quality, scope relevance, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and adherence to the journal’s formatting standards. Only manuscripts meeting the required standards proceed to the peer review stage.
  4. Double-Blind Peer Review Process
IJSSERS employs a double-blind review system, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to ensure an unbiased and objective evaluation. Each manuscript is assigned to at least two subject matter experts, selected based on their academic credentials and area of specialization. Reviewers assess the paper’s originality, theoretical and empirical rigor, contribution to the field, ethical compliance, relevance, and overall quality.
  5. Editorial Decision
After receiving the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) or assigned Handling Editor makes the final decision regarding publication. The decision is communicated to the author along with detailed feedback to support improvement where needed. Possible editorial decisions include:

    • Accepted without revision – The manuscript meets all standards and is ready for publication.
    • Accepted with minor revisions – Minor changes are required before final acceptance.
    • Resubmit after major revisions – Substantial improvements are required for reconsideration.
    • Rejected – The manuscript does not meet the journal’s quality or relevance criteria.
  6. Final Acceptance and Fee Payment
Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, the corresponding author receives an official acceptance letter and publication fee request. The author must complete the payment within the specified time frame to proceed with the final production stage.
  7. Copyright Transfer and Publication
Authors are required to submit a duly signed Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA) form along with proof of fee payment. This grants IJSSERS the right to publish the article in its online open-access platform under the Creative Commons license adopted by the journal.
  8. Online Publication
Upon completion of the preceding steps, the article is formatted, proofread, and published online within 24 hours. All published papers are indexed and made immediately available on the IJSSERS website for global access under the open-access policy.
