Effective Delivery of Basic Science Curriculum Concepts Using Inquiry Based Strategy on Students’ Academic Achievement in Delta Central Senatorial District

The study investigated the effective delivery of Basic Science curriculum concepts using inquiry based strategy on students’ academic achievement in Delta Central Senatorial District. Three research questions and three null hypotheses guided the study. Quasi-experimental design was adopted for the study, specifically, non-equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. The sample for the study comprised of 275 JSS II basic science students from six mixed JSS2 classes in intact classes in Delta Central Senatorial District, drawn using Simple random sampling techniques. The experimental group was taught using inquiry based teaching strategy, while lecture method was taught using conventional. The instrument used for data collection was the Basic science Achievement Test (BSAT). Data collected were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results revealed that inquiry based teaching strategy was superior to the conventional instructional method in facilitating students’ achievement in basic science. There was no significant difference in the mean scores of male and female students in basic science curriculum concepts. Based on the findings, it was concluded that the inquiry based strategy is a better option in delivery Basic Science curriculum concepts. It was recommended among others that science teacher’s educators should adopt inquiry based strategy when teaching in order to enhance students’ achievement in basic science and technology.

Effectiveness and Practicality of Wetland Ethnoscience E-Magazine Based on the Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) Model for Improve Critical Thinking Skills

This research is a research and development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model, which aims to determine the effectiveness and practicality of the SCT Model-Based Wetland Ethnoscience E-Magazine on students’ critical thinking skills in stoichiometry learning. Data collection techniques use test instruments, response questionnaires, learning implementation sheets, and the teacher’s ability to use e-magazines to test effectiveness and practicality. The effectiveness test is carried out using test instruments for critical thinking skills. Meanwhile, practicality tests were conducted on teachers’ and students’ responses to e-magazine products, observation sheets on learning implementation, and teachers’ ability to use e-magazines. The results of research on critical thinking skills in students at SMAN 3 Banjarmasin, SMAN 7 Banjarmasin, and SMAN 12 Banjarmasin showed an average n-gain value of 0.80; 0.81 and 0.80 in the high category, so it is effective for improving students’ critical thinking skills. The influence test results using the Wilcoxon test show an influence or improvement in students’ thinking skills using the significance of the Wetland Ethnoscience E-Magazine Based on the Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) Model. The results of the difference test (Kruskall Wallis) show that there is no difference (consistency) in the increase in students’ critical thinking skills after using the Wetland Ethnoscience E-Magazine Based on the Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) Model for each school. The results of the teacher response questionnaire regarding the use of E-magazine showed a mean value of 4.67. The response results from students at SMAN 3 Banjarmasin, SMAN Banjarmasin, and SMAN 12 Banjarmasin showed a mean of 4.31, 4.33, and 4.34 in the very good category. The results of teachers’ ability to use E-magazines at SMAN 3 Banjarmasin, SMAN 7 Banjarmasin, and SMAN 12 Banjarmasin showed scores of 4.63, respectively, 4.65 and 4.64. Learning implementation results with a score of 4.57, 4.60, and 4.58. Based on these results, it can be said that the use of the SCT Model-Based Wetland Ethnoscience E-Magazine is effective and practical in the learning process for student’s critical thinking skills.

Spiritual Leadership of Madrasah Heads in Improving Teacher Personal Competence (MTs Ma’arif NU 2 Sutojayan Blitar and MTs Ma’arif Bakung Blitar)

This research aims to provide an in-depth description regarding 1) The spiritual leadership of the madrasa head in improving teacher personality competence 2) The spiritual leadership characteristics of the madrasa head in increasing teacher personality competence 3) The spiritual leadership strategy of the madrasa head in increasing teacher personality competence. This research uses a qualitative approach, a case study type with a multi-case design. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation, data analysis uses data reduction, presentation of verification data and drawing conclusions. Data is analyzed from single and cross-case data. The research results show: 1) Spiritual leadership in the two madrasas a) Able to inspire, influence and mobilize through example. b) have a very strong foundation and motivation for the progress of the institution. c) Communicate well with its members and communication does not go in one direction. 2) Characteristics of the spiritual leadership of the madrasa head a) Has a strong belief in the progress of the madrasa, has a vision, mission, goals and strategies, as well as their implementation towards progress and success in managing the organization. b) has a humble character, is patient, has emotional stability, adheres to honesty, is self-confident, can accept change and has a spirit of pious deeds, c) is very loved by his subordinates, likes the leadership model and style of the madrasah head, loves the policies and ideas of the madrasah head especially regarding policies to increase teacher competency. 3) The spiritual leadership strategy of madrasa heads in both institutions is a) Always maintaining trust. c) Communicate, collaborate and synergize to unite the vision and mission well in running the madrasah organization. c) The head of the madrasah holds training to improve teacher competency.

The Implementation of Quizlet in Teaching English Vocabulary to Elementary School Students

In Indonesia, one of the foreign languages taught at the primary level (elementary school) and secondary level (junior and senior high school) is English. One effective learning medium used to teach

English is Quizlet. However, the implementation of Quizlet for teaching vocabulary in elementary schools still needs exploration. Therefore, this research aims to investigate how elementary school teachers perceive Quizlet as a learning medium for teaching English and describe how Quizlet is implemented as a learning medium to teach vocabulary in the classroom. A descriptive qualitative method involves three elementary teachers through semi-structured interviews and class observations as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that teachers perceive Quizlet’s features, including flashcards, match games, and instant feedback, make teaching and learning more accessible, enjoyable, and engaging. However, teachers identified some challenges, including limited supervision, internet connectivity issues, varying technological understanding among students, and students’ motivation for independent learning. The vocabulary given is sourced from the school book and other materials. The SAMR model is applied, incorporating pre-, during-, and post-activities in the lessons. Quizlet’s features, including Flashcards, Learn, Write, Spell, Test, Match, and Live modes, are utilized both offline and online over two sessions. Despite internet connectivity challenges, students could navigate the various Quizlet modes, complete exercises, and achieve high scores. Overall, Quizlet is perceived positively by elementary teachers and has been successfully implemented as a learning medium for teaching English vocabulary.

Implementation of Online Fiduciary Security Registration in Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 9 of 2013

In Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 9 of 2013, online registration of fiduciary guarantees has been regulated. The purpose of writing this article is to gain an understanding of the implementation of this system. In addition, another objective is to gain a better understanding of the online fiduciary registration process, as well as the supporting components and barriers that occur during the process. This research utilizes a statutory and factual approach. A guarantee of legal certainty has been provided through the registration of collateral with the object of fiduciary guarantee through computer media and the internet.

One of the barriers to registering fiduciary guarantees electronically and connected to the internet is slow internet speed and interruptions. Many financing institutions do not register fiduciary guarantees due to the high cost of making the deed and registering it. As a result, creditors will not have preference rights over unregistered fiduciary guarantees.

Models and Methods of Dissemination and Legal Education of Legal Aid Centers in Ho Chi Minh City

With its essential role in socioeconomic development and defense security, Ho Chi Minh City faces many diverse and complex legal challenges. Disseminating and educating the law residents, especially disadvantaged people, is one of the main tasks of legal aid centers. However, currently, this work faces many limitations and difficulties. This article focuses on researching models and methods of legal dissemination and education in Ho Chi Minh City. These models include on-site legal aid activities, participation in legal proceedings, and the activities of legal aid clubs. Using document analysis, the article argues that residents are equipped with basic legal knowledge through these activities, helping them clearly understand their rights and obligations in daily life. This helps improve citizens’ awareness and respect for the law and promotes their active participation in nation-building and sustainable development.

Policy Implementation of the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 65 of 2009 Concerning Indonesian-Flagged Non-Convention Vessels in the Main Harbor Office Tanjung Perak Surabaya

The research objectives to be achieved are to describe and analyze the Implementation of Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 65 of 2009 concerning Indonesian-flagged Non-Convention Vessels at the Tanjung Perak Main Harbormaster’s Office in Surabaya; and describe and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors. The type of research used is qualitative research.

The results showed that the Ship Safety and Ship Manning Standards that have been carried out are in accordance with what is the goal, Ship Safety and Ship Manning Resources assigned to the crew are still not optimal because they are not in accordance with international regulations, Ship operations and ship safety have been properly implemented, The role of communication carried out in the form of coordination between several parties is still lacking, The attitude of the implementers of Ship Safety and Ship Manning is responsible for imposing sanctions in this case conveying to the captain to be in accordance with, Economic, Social and Political Factors Ship Safety and Ship Manning are supportive. The conclusion of this research is that the Implementation of the Policy of the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 65 of 2009 concerning Indonesian-flagged Non-Convention Ships at the Tanjung Perak Main Shipyard Office in Surabaya is running in accordance with applicable provisions.

There are several suggestions that are recommended, among others, the Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Transportation can make special policies in monitoring growth and development towards the security of ships and port facilities, including the level of security conditions, there must be synchronization and synergy between the central government and local governments in regulating regulations so as not to cause contradictions in implementation.

Every company must maintain and develop the market through marketing implementation and evaluation of various product control activities. The purpose of this research is to analyze the marketing strategy for Xtra Combolite and Xtra Hotrod Special products at PT XL Axiata which is being marketed in the community. The method used is the application of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix as a marketing strategy method by classifying the company’s profit potential graphically. The findings show that the Xtra Combolite product position matrix is in the Star which is an ideal position so it needs to be maintained. Meanwhile, the Xtra Hotrod Special product position matrix is the Question Marks, so high investment is needed so that its growth prospects increase and has the potential to change its position to become the Star.

The Implementation of Public Relations in Enhancing Competitiveness at Smk Negeri 1 Boyolangu, Tulungagung, Indonesia

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of school public relations management to win the hearts of the community and prospective students as the best choice. This program aims to convey information about the school and build opinions about the school’s competitiveness. One of the ways to achieve this is through school public relations management at the forefront of the school in the field of information and relations with stakeholders in planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The research question is: How does public relations implementation enhance competitiveness at SMKN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung? This research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach using a multi-case design at SMKN 1 Boyolangu. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes single-case and cross-case analyses using data reduction, presentation, and conclusions.

The results of this research are as follows: the implementation includes a) publicity, b) educational cooperation, and c) partnerships. The research findings support the theory of public relations functions by Cutlip & Center, Harlow, Broom, and Keith Butterick, J.C, Seidel, as well as the opinion of Emerson Reck that public relations is a two-way communication activity between an institution and its public. In addition, Kotler’s opinion is that school public relations sometimes act as human relations only sometimes combines a marketing role, and at times tends to be marketing-oriented only.
